What We Hold Sacred Original Painting

Original Acrylic Painting | 84 cm (33")

Round Canvas

What happens when we remember that we are part of nature, rather than separate from it? What We Hold Sacred reminds us of the delicate relationship between humanity and the natural world, celebrating the beauty, vulnerability, and interconnectedness of life.

Endangered and at-risk Scandinavian wildlife encircle two outstretched hands, which cradle a glowing orb and butterfly. Each creature represents something precious, a reminder of the extraordinary life we share this planet with and our responsibility to protect it.

This painting began during a live painting experience following a cacao ceremony in Stockholm, surrounded by music, movement, and a community gathered in connection. That experience became part of the painting's story, shaping a piece about reverence, compassion, and the things we choose to hold sacred.
